For the first time in two years, runners flooded the streets of New Kingston to participate in the 25th staging of the Sigma Corporate Run. Dubbed the “Legacy Run”, the event named Olympians Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Asafa Powell as patrons. It attracted 21,000 participants who ran, walked, or wheeled for the causes. The run successfully raised J$91 million to benefit the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts and the Paediatric Unit at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI). Participants returned to the familiar 5.5K route, starting on Knutsford Boulevard, continuing onto West King’s House Road, and ending at Emancipation Park.
